Precision Thermal in a Compact Monoblock

The Trail 3 LRF XR50 is the flagship of Pulsar's Trail 3 family, built for mid- to long-range hunting where clean detection and accurate shot placement matter most. Aimed at stalkers, foresters and pest controllers, it combines a high-resolution thermal core, a laser rangefinder and a ballistic calculator in a compact monoblock housing that stays rigid under recoil, while Pulsar's multi-point prism gives a firm, repeatable fit on rail mounts.

High-Resolution 640×480 Thermal Sensor

At the heart of the XR50 is a 640×480 microbolometer with a 12µm pixel pitch and a system NETD below 18 mK, running at 50 Hz for smooth tracking of moving quarry. Behind a fast F50/1.0 objective lens it delivers 3–24x magnification, an 8.8° field of view (15.4 m at 100 m) and a detection range of up to 2300 m on a deer-sized target, so you can pick out and identify game across open hill and mixed ground alike.

Full HD AMOLED Display

Thermal images are shown on a bright 1920×1080 AMOLED screen with excellent contrast and colour depth for fast target recognition. A redesigned graphic interface keeps key settings a click away, and the display switches itself off automatically when the scope is lowered to save battery. Nine colour palettes and three display shapes let you set the picture up for any conditions, with 50 mm of eye relief and ±5 dioptre adjustment for a comfortable view.

Round Picture-in-Picture Mode

The new round-shaped Picture-in-Picture mode magnifies only the area around the reticle, so you can zoom in on the target without losing sight of the wider scene around it.

Built-in Laser Rangefinder

An integrated 905 nm, Class 1 laser rangefinder measures distances out to 1200 m with ±1 m accuracy. Switch between single-shot and continuous scan modes to check range instantly before you take the shot.

Integrated Ballistic Calculator

Ranging feeds straight into the onboard ballistic calculator, which shows aiming corrections on screen based on your own ballistic profile. Build and sync profiles in the Stream Vision Ballistics app, then choose from 10 reticle shapes and store up to 10 zeroing profiles for different rifles or loads. Side-incline and elevation-angle indication help keep shots true on uneven ground.

Built for Heavy Recoil

The magnesium alloy monoblock is rated to 6000 J on rifled weapons, handling calibres up to .375 H&H, and is equally at home on 12-bore smoothbores and air rifles. It is IP67 waterproof and works from -25°C to +50°C. Focusing wheels on both sides, with built-in levers for grip, make it easy to adjust with either hand. It measures 271 × 86 × 71 mm and weighs 0.7 kg.

Recoil-Activated Video Recording

Record 1440×1080 video and stills to 64 GB of built-in memory. Recoil-activated recording captures every shot automatically, with three sensitivity levels to suit your calibre, and shadow recording keeps footage rolling in the background so the moment is never missed.

All-Night Power

A quick-change LPS 7i battery pack (6400 mAh) gives up to 11 hours of operation at 22°C and swaps in seconds in the field. Charge it in the scope or separately via USB Type-C, or run the scope from external 5V/9V USB-C power.

Stream Vision 2 Connectivity

Dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi links the Trail 3 to the Stream Vision 2 app on Android or iOS, letting you stream the view live, control the scope remotely, browse and share your photo and video gallery, and install the latest firmware updates.
